The short version
We collect your email when you give it to us, basic details when you contact us or book a call, and anonymous analytics about which pages people read. We don't sell data to anyone and we don't run advertising cookies. Email hello@afterswell.com to see or delete anything we hold about you, and we'll do it within 30 days.

Who we are
Afterswell ("we", "us") operates afterswell.com. For data protection purposes, the data controller is Afterswell Agency LLC, contactable at hello@afterswell.com or by post at 89-16 Jamaica Ave, Woodhaven, NY 11421, United States.
What we collect
When you contact us or book a call. Your name, email address, company name, website, what you're trying to fix, and your approximate monthly marketing spend. If you book a call, our scheduling provider also records the time you chose and your time zone.
When you subscribe. Your email address, the page you subscribed from, and the dates you confirmed and unsubscribed.
When you read the site. Pages visited, approximate location at country level, device and browser type, referring site, and time on page. This is aggregated and we can't identify you from it.
What we don't collect. We don't ask for payment details on this website. We don't run advertising or retargeting cookies. We don't buy personal data from third parties, and we don't build profiles about you.
Why we use it
- To reply to you. If you contact us or book a call, we use your details to respond and to prepare for that conversation. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To send what you asked for. If you request a guide or subscribe, we send it and the follow-up emails described at signup. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
- To improve the site. We look at aggregate analytics to see which pages are useful. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a functioning website, and analytics cookies only load if you accept them.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, and only for these purposes:
- Vercel — website hosting and performance analytics
- Neon — the database holding contact submissions and subscribers
- Resend — sending our emails
- Cal.com — scheduling calls
- Google Analytics — website analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data is transferred out of the UK or the European Economic Area, our providers rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: up to 3 years after our last contact, so we have a record of the conversation.
- Subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then up to 12 months so we don't email you again by accident.
- Analytics: up to 26 months, in aggregate.
Ask us to delete anything sooner and we will.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy in a portable format, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. If you're in the UK or EEA you can also withdraw consent at any time and complain to your national data protection authority.
Email hello@afterswell.com. We respond within 30 days and we don't charge for it.
Cookies
We use two kinds:
- Essential cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice. These always load.
- Analytics cookies tell us which pages get read. These load only if you accept them in the banner.
We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. If that ever changes, we'll update the banner and this page before it happens.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Essential cookies may be needed for forms to work.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and our database is hosted by a provider with recognised security certifications. No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise — but we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced by email to subscribers.
